Getting started with Planet Events
Planet Events is in private beta. We’re working with a limited number of organizations running real events, which means the platform you’re using is the same one live shows depend on — and it also means some features are still landing. This guide gets you from a fresh account to your first event.
Signing in
Sign in at app.planetevents.io/login with your work email and password (Google sign-in is coming during the beta). New to the platform? Create an account from the link below the sign-in form.
The first time you sign in, we ask you to name your organization. That creates your workspace: your events, your team, and your data live inside it, and you become its first admin. Teammates you bring in later join the same organization.
The dashboard
The dashboard is home base. It greets you with what matters right now: your next event with a live countdown, anything currently live, and quick counts of upcoming events, events in planning, and your total. Below that is your full event list — each row shows the date, location, and status, and opens straight into the event.
The “+ New event” button in the top right starts a new event any time (admins only — see “Roles: Admin, Editor, Viewer”).
Load a sample event
The fastest way to understand Planet Events is to see a finished setup. If you’re an admin and your dashboard is empty, you’ll see a “Load a sample event” button — one click creates a fully populated leadership summit: speakers with crew details, immovable times, a call to action, and a budget outline. It’s a safe sandbox for exploring the run-of-show builder and FlowGenius before you commit your own event.
Loading it twice won’t clutter your workspace — clicking the button again simply reopens the same sample.
